About Me

I'm Estelle, an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS (Acc.)) with a passion for helping individuals of all ages navigate life's ups and downs. I work with individuals from the age of 8, so whether you're a young person facing difficulties at school or an adult dealing with relationship issues or past trauma, I can help. With a person-centred approach and my Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, gain insight, and develop coping strategies. We can work together in-person from my practice in Grantham or we can also work together online. Whatever way we work together, I'm here to support you every step of the way.

Estelle Cooper
Counselling in Grantham

I started my counselling journey seven years ago after experiencing its power firsthand. I understand that starting counselling may feel like a daunting experience but you have made the first move by searching for a counsellor.

Through my three years of training at Lindum College and my own personal journey, I've become passionate about person-centred counselling.

I've worked with children as young as eight, as well as autistic adults, and every experience has only fuelled my commitment to helping others.

So, whether you're feeling lost or just need someone to explore your feelings with, know that you're in good hands.

How Counselling Can Help You

If this is the first time reaching out for support, you may be thinking ‘What is Counselling?’ and ‘How can it help me?’ Put simply, counselling provides you with a confidential, safe, and comfortable space where you can express yourself without fear of judgment. Together, we'll work to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, empowering you to make positive changes and live a more fulfilling life. Whether you're seeking short-term support or long-term guidance, counselling can provide the tools and insight you need to overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.

Counselling for Young People

Being a young person can be challenging, but you don't have to face it alone. Whether you or your child is struggling with school, relationships, or emotions, I'm here to provide a supportive space where they can express themselves and develop healthy coping skills.

Adult Counselling

Are you feeling stuck or overwhelmed in your personal or professional life? Let's work together to explore your thoughts and feelings, identify patterns, and create positive changes.

I work from the understanding that through the collaborative development of a trusting, empathetic, non-judgemental relationship you will have the opportunity to develop your self-awareness, understand yourself better, see the choices that you have and become aware of possibilities of change. I will support you through this process by listening closely to your story, being with you as it unfolds, reflecting on what I hear to see if it makes sense to you, and challenging you at times to see things from a different perspective.

At other times we will explore your body senses to develop your mind and body connection and self-awareness.

We will work with the issues you bring to therapy and explore events and relationships in the past to help you understand what's going on for you today. Through this exploration you can develop your self-awareness, self-compassion, self-acceptance which will support you to make choices in your life which feel right for you.
